Margie appeared on The Jennifer Hudson Show and spoke about how blessed she is to have her large family
She then got to meet one of her grandkids for the first time while on the show
Margie is the proud grandmother of 150 grandkids — and growing!
The matriarch joined The Jennifer Hudson Show on Monday, Jan. 12, and shared a bit about her impressive family, which includes 150 grandkids, 50 great-grandkids and 50 great-great-grandkids.
Hailing from Oakland, Calif., Margie was joined by her daughter Pat, and the two discussed their uniquely large family. As she spoke about how proud she is of her legacy, Margie admitted that her family is so big, she doesn't know everyone's names.

“Aw! I know they're blessed to have you,” host Jennifer Hudson said. “Okay, so, how do you keep up with all of them?”
“I do not know all the names, but I have seven adult children, and so when I get down to the fourth generation and the fifth generation, I say that is my son’s daughter. And that is my daughter’s daughter. Family," Margie said. "But I am so blessed, Jennifer. I am blessed to be here and to know that there are families supporting you…”
Hudson then asked Pat about her mom's legacy.
"My mom is about to be 85, and she was born in Amarillo, Texas," said Pat. "She was a child bride at 14. Before she was 21, she had five children. Eight children, seven alive. And then 150 grand, 50 great-grand, and then 50 great-great-grand, and the number is still adding."
“Oh my goodness! I want to know. What do you appreciate most about your mother?” Hudson asked.

“That my mom gave birth to all eight of her children and she did the best, the very best that she could," Pat said. "We all got college educations, we all are home-owners, business-owners. One of my nephews is almost getting his white-jacket to be a doctor, the other one is in the fire academy to be a firefighter. And then the one just passed the bar. So we are on fire.”
As the segment continued, Hudson brought out some of Margie's family for the audience to meet. She turned to Margie and said she had heard that she has some great-grandchildren or grandchildren that she hadn't met before. She then asked if she could surprise her again.
Hudson brought out one of Margie's grandchildren she hadn't met before, whom she got to meet live on-air. The matriarch was overcome with emotion and bent down to hug her family members.
"All the way from Texas!" Margie exclaimed as they sat next to her on the couch. "Thank you. We're going to pass this love on."
