President Donald Trump made a rare comment about his deceased brother, Robert Trump, during a rally in Tennessee as he attempts to rally Republican support for the upcoming midterm elections.

During a rally in the Volunteer State, Trump, 80, grew solemn as he remembered his late brother. "You know, I had a bother, He was a great, great person," said the president.

"And he happens to be — and she is fantastic," added the president, switching mid-thought after seeing Ann Marie Pallan, his late brother's second wife. " He was married to a very wonderful woman, who happens to be standing right there."

The president, 80, then thanked Pallan for her commitment to his brother. "And she lives in Tennessee. She lives in Tennessee, and she wouldn't live anywhere else."

Trump then dismissed Pallan by saying, "We'll talk to you later. But, a wonderful marriage. Wonderful people and her sister." The president said, "It was good to have you," and that they were "looking great."

"They live in Tennessee, and they have great taste," said the president. Robert married Pallan in January or March 2020 and remained together until his death in August of the same year due to an intracerebral hemorrhage.

The youngest Trump sibling managed the Trump Organization's property holdings outside of Manhattan. One former employee of the Trump Organization called Robert "dignified," "quiet," and "good to work with," adding that he didn't have any sense of entitlement, something people now associate with the Trump name.

"He had zero sense of entitlement. Robert was very comfortable being Donald Trump's brother and not being like him," Jack O'Donnell told The New York Times. It was previously reported that when things didn't go as planned, Donald would often unleash his rage on his younger brother.

Their relationship got even more strained as Donald's fame rose rapidly. After a tragedy where three executives died in a helicopter crash, Donald put Robert in charge of the Taj Mahal casino in New Jersey.

However, an argument leading to years of separation resulted from this decision. Problems with the financial controls on the slot machines delayed the opening of the Taj Mahal casino, causing millions in damage.

O'Donnell shared that Donald yelled at his brother, blaming him for the faulty machines. Robert then "Robert calmly got up, walked out of the room, and that's the last time I ever saw him," O'Donnell said.

Robert was reportedly "devastated" by the growing rift with Donald. When Donald's political career started to rise, Robert fully supported his brother.

"If he were to need me in any way, I'd be there," Robert told the New York Post in 2016. Since 2015, Robert had been a dedicated supporter of his brother's political career.
