Mindy Kaling made a scene-stealing moment at the Actor Awards, formerly the SAG Awards.
Sunday night at the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in Los Angeles lit up with Hollywood’s glitz and glam as celebrities brought their star power to the red carpet, flaunting their dazzling ensembles.
With all the buzz surrounding the annual ceremony, The Office star commanded the spotlight with a stunning, unforgettable look by designer Yara Shoemaker.
Kaling put her own spin on the classic LBD, featuring a cinched, structured velvet peplum top with a sheer panel at the midsection.
The actress’ slimmed-down figure was perfectly highlighted by a transparent knitted maxi skirt with rhinestone details that subtly showcased her toned legs.

Completing her red carpet look, the 46-year-old star added a touch of drama with a pair of black velvet gloves while keeping her glam chic in warm brown hues and sleek straight hair.
Fans on social media couldn’t help but gush over her stunning transformation and effortlessly chic red carpet look.
“A MOMENT for Mindy Kaling at the #ActorAwards!!!! She looks so iconic that she clearly decided to make the red carpet her own personal runway. We are not worthy!” one wrote.

Apart from her head-turning appearance, she also made a memorable return to the Actor Awards red carpet.
Although she participated in the virtual ceremony in 2021 in a striking cobalt blue Alex Perry gown as a presenter at the 27th annual ceremony, her last red carpet appearance for the Actor Awards was in 2014.
At the time, the then-35-year-old actress walked the red carpet in a dark blue ensemble by David Meister. The creation featured a cowl neckline and a cinched bodice with a flowy floor-grazing skirt.

Not only was the Actor Awards 2026 her red carpet comeback, but it was also a reunion with her The Office co-stars.
To present the award, cast members Jenna Fischer, Ellie Kemper and Angela Kinsey joined Kaling on stage to announce the winner for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series, with The Studio winning the category.
