Prince Harry and Meghan Markle returned to the UK for an extended stay, but there reportedly might be a missing piece. According to a source, the couple is in a “honeymoon phase” with their new life. Moreover, many are wondering why they have not met King Charles yet.

Sources told Page Six that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are currently in a “honeymoon phase” with their new life in the UK. Subsequently, they have reportedly yet to meet King Charles. While the Duke of Sussex has reportedly made multiple calls to the monarch, the two have yet to meet in person.

The reason the meeting has reportedly not happened is that Charles and Queen Camilla are enjoying their break in Scotland. The King and Queen’s trip took place at Balmoral Castle. They were joined by Prince William, Princess Catherine, and their kids: Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

Charles and Camilla reportedly will also take a tour to the Caribbean on October 27. Thus, it will take time for them to meet the Sussexes. However, the chances of a reunion between Charles and Harry are reportedly still on. “Absolutely, everyone hopes that father and son can have a closer — more private — relationship. It just does not help when every time they meet or speak it leaks out,” a royal insider said. Moreover, Charles Spencer’s book “Swan Song: Diana, My Sister” isn’t helping the father and son relationship.

“The fact that Harry was just with his uncle in the summer makes it seem that he has a good relationship with him — and the King is furious about the book,” another source said. Recently, Woman’s Day reported that Charles is upset about not getting to meet his grandchildren, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

“Here he was expecting that they’d be getting straight into making up for lost time, and it’s been quite the opposite,” a royal insider stated. The source added that Harry has repeatedly assured his father that the visit would take place soon, but no date has been finalized, leaving Charles deeply disappointed.
