Plans have been submitted to convert part of the Saint Lawrence pub into a holiday let
Plans have been submitted to turn part of a pub into self-catered tourist accommodation.
If approved, part of the Saint Lawrence Pub would be converted into a holiday let.
In its planning statement, Socrates Architects said: "The proposal is fundamentally about retaining and securing the future of the pub, rather than replacing it."
It added: "The pub remains open and trading. The proposed tourism unit will be operated separately by the building owner."

The plan involves turning part of the ground floor into a one-bedroom self-catering unit.

The architects add: "The proposal represents a practical, proportionate and sustainable means of retaining and supporting an established village pub."
It comes amid concerns for the future of pubs in the area.
Commenting on the application, Laura and Simon McTurk said: "With the impending closure of the Mont Felard, the Saint Lawrence Pub will be the last remaining traditional public house in Saint Lawrence.
"Patrons of the pub already shop at Saint Lawrence Stores and allowing guests to stay on site would help further boost our micro-economy."
