Myanmar cuts Aung San Suu Kyi's sentence again by a sixth, lawyer says

April 30 (Reuters) - Myanmar's detained former leader ‌Aung San Suu ‌Kyi has been given ​a further one-sixth reduction in her sentence as part of ‌an ⁠amnesty, a member of her legal ⁠team said on Thursday.

The Nobel ​laureate received ​a ​similar sentence reduction ‌in a wider amnesty earlier this month. The reduction means she has about ‌18 years ​left to ​serve, ​the legal ‌team member said, declining ​to ​be identified by name.
