Kate Gosselin stepped out for the first time — without crutches — after sustaining a ”life-altering” leg injury while playing with her dog.

“And then….she could suddenly WALK again,” the Jon & Kate Plus 8 alum, 50, captioned a Jan. 14 TikTok video that shows her walking unassisted from her car into a coffee shop while vacationing in New Zealand. The jaunt was her first time walking in public unassisted, she shared.

“I’ve been walking at home more and more and then BAM. I could suddenly walk everywhere!!!” Gosselin shared in pink text over video of herself walking to the counter to order food while on vacation in New Zealand.

“It’s amazing,” she tells the camera with a big smile. “It, like, happened overnight.”

The reality alum has been sharing her road to recovery. In December, she showed herself taking her first steps — assisted by crutches — 82 days after she fractured her leg while playing with her dog, Meika, with boyfriend Steve Neild in September. At the time, she shared that her dog "ran into the side of my leg, my knee, at top speed. The only way I can describe it, it was like a concrete wall running at the speed of light.”

“The pain was so bad I just crumbled on the ground,” she said of the injury, which required surgery with "plates and pins" and extensive physical therapy. "The surgeon said it was life-altering issues," she explained at the time.

To celebrate her newfound freedom from crutches, Gosselin picked up a variety of "scrumptious" scones, sharing that the “cafe culture HERE is unbelievable amazing (and obscenely delicious)."

After enjoying a cheese scone, blueberry scone, and a sausage roll with her companions, Gosselin joked, “So now I’ll just casually walk outta here,” as she exited the cafe.

While on the sidewalk, she raised her knee briefly, as if she were testing her strength, before turning to the camera with a big smile.

“I did it,” she said, giving the camera a thumbs up while text flashed, “Cannot believe this day has FINALLY come”

The mom of eight shared more happy news in the comments, replying to fans who shared their well wishes. “I did it! It feels so good to walk!” Gosselin wrote — and replied to another fan, who said they were “nervous” watching her walk.

“Makes me nervous too,” Gosselin wrote. “I just go slow and watch the ground! 👀"
