Kai Trump, 19, has described her bond with her grandfather Donald Trump as quite simple, despite his influential status, according to Radar Online.
Kai gave a peek into the president’s life at home while speaking on NewsNation’s Katie Pavlich Tonight, saying that the 80-year-old acts like a “normal” person and often makes time for family meals.

Kai said sports are a major part of their conversation, adding that she often connects with her grandfather over golf.
“He’s just like a normal grandpa. That’s what I call him, grandpa. And sitting down at dinner with him, we just talk like normal people,” Donald Trump Jr’s daughter said.
For those unversed, Kai is herself a skilled athlete who will be attending the University of Miami to play golf.
She said, “Like if you spoke to your grandpa or a family member, it’s just, it’s very normal. And we talk about golf because we have that in common. We talk about a lot of other things. He loves sports. I love sports. And it’s just like having a normal dinner with your family member.”
“He’s a great golfer,” she said, pointing out that he has played with pros.
Kai added that the president helps her improve her game. “When we’re playing with each other, even if we’re on the same team, he still tries to get into my head,” she noted. She explained that his mental tests help her stay strong under pressure, per OK Magazine.
Moreover, on Logan Paul’s Impaulsive podcast, Kai Trump got candid about how living with Secret Service guards everywhere is a bit strange for her. She also mentioned that dating can be awkward with guards around.

“It’s a little weird,” she said. “I try my best not to let it bother me. Especially the past year, since he’s become president, I’ve had to learn that, yes, they’re following me, but also to focus on pretending that they’re not there.”
She added, “Obviously, they are there. But if you can try to not really focus on that and enjoy your time with your friends, your family, or whatever it is, it makes it easier.”
Kai Trump On Avoiding ‘Extremist’ Opinions
Donald Trump’s granddaughter prefers to stay away from debates. She rarely shares opinions on global issues and calls politics a “dangerous thing.”
“If both sides met in the middle, everyone would be so much more happier, and I think there’s radical left, there’s radical right, and there’s a lot of people who get too extreme,” she explained on the podcast.
Similarly, during her discussion with Logan, she was asked about the best parts of having a president for a grandfather.
She answered, “I mean, there’s a lot of cool aspects, obviously going to the White House and all these like historic things, but, to me, nothing has really changed my life. I’m still a normal kid and I still live a normal life. There are pros and cons to it, but I guess the coolest thing is going to the White House.”
