Collin Gosselin is claiming that he is owed money by his mom, Kate Gosselin.
In an interview with The U.S. Sun originally recorded in Sept. 26, 2025, and now published in full on June 27, which the caption noted was filmed prior to Collin's announcement that he's releasing a memoir, the 22-year-old reiterated his desire to have his mom take a lie detector test. This time, he said he wants answers regarding money he claims he and his seven siblings are owed, thanks to their years on TLC's Jon & Kate Plus 8.
Collin first brought up the idea in September in a post on his Instagram Stories, where he asked Kate to participate in a lie detector test amid speculation about her relationship with the family's former bodyguard, Steve Neild. Kate confirmed her relationship with Steve — whom she previously denied having an affair with in 2009 — in November.
On the podcast, Collin said he wants to ask Kate, 51, "where all the money disappeared [to] in the court documents that I've been reading" while she's hooked up to a polygraph. "I'm an adult now. I'm going to do my own research. Everybody loves to say, 'Oh, this was definitely Jon behind this,'" he said, referring to his dad, Kate's ex-husband, Jon Gosselin. "I'm an adult now. When these documents have my name on them and my siblings' names on them, I will find and justify the means of their money and my money. And we will find the truth."
Collin further alleged that Kate "took a lot of money" from a pool he said was set aside for the children. "All the siblings were supposed to receive money out of a collective fund. I don't want to say exactly how much it was," he explained.
"But then we saw in court that a lot was taken and [my siblings] received some, and I received a small portion that was like signed out on my name, but I can tell you that it was close to nothing, because she took so much from it," he alleged.

Collin alleged that he is in possession of court documents that he says show he received only “scraps” compared to what he believes he was owed. "I would like to release those too," he said.
His "theory" about how the money was distributed is that Kate gave a bigger sum "to the kids who live with her" from the "collective fund for all eight of us." He added, "I don't know how Hannah works, 'cause Hannah still talks to her — but I think she just threw me, like, scraps in return."
"There's probably money that's still owed in my name," he continued. Collin said that the payment he received "helped me with my first year of college," but then insinuated that he has had to fund his education on his own since then.
Kate's attorney declined to comment on Collin’s allegations when reached by PEOPLE.

Kate recently spoke out about her financial situation on social media. In the comments section of a TikTok she posted last August, she replied to a follower who asked her “what happened with all the income” from her reality TV career as she shared that she works as a pediatric home health care nurse.
“Honestly? Providing for 8 kids, college funds which I am proud to say covered all of their college and more and LAWYERS," she wrote. "Sickening but I was drug [sic] into court constantly and that costs A TON. Sad bc my kids could have a lot more saved and I could have a retirement saved if it weren’t for lawyers :(."
Though she did not specify, her comment may have referred to both her divorce from Jon, 49, which was finalized in December 2009, and their long and difficult custody battle. She received primary custody of all eight children, although, by 2022, Hannah and Collin were living with Jon full time, while the other six kids had little to no contact with their father.
