The internet is grilling McDonald's CEO for a video he shared of himself trying out the fast-food chain's latest burger.
McDonald's is set to release its Big Arch burger in the United States for a limited time starting Tuesday, March 3. The burger was getting attention for its size: It has two quarter-pound beef patties, surrounded by three slices of melted white cheddar cheese. But now, it's also being noticed for the recent taste-test video.
A video of McDonald's CEO Chris Kempczinski trying the burger in early February has drawn skepticism and teasing from the internet, with some people unconvinced that Kempczinski enjoyed the food.
In the video, Kempczinski describes the burger and its contents before taking a small, singular bite of the new item and holding it up to the camera.
"I love this product," Kempczinski says in the video ahead of trying the burger. "It is so good. I'm gonna do a tasting right now but I'm gonna eat this for my lunch, just so you know."
Social media teases McDonald's CEO for taste test
The CEO's commentary and bite of the burger have led to parodies and mocking from people on social media. According to comments on the initial Instagram post, the internet has zeroed in on Kempczinski's use of the word "product" to describe the burger and challenged the idea that he consumed the whole thing for lunch.
"Whatās the opposite of genuine and authentic," reads one comment under the original post, which currently has over 9,000 comments on it. "What a delicious product my fellow humans," reads another.
McDonald's Big Arch burger will be available nationwide in March 2026.

Some social media users have also parodied the moment, down to using similar wording to review other McDonald's items, like the double cheeseburger. One TikTok video with over 949,000 likes does that while poking fun at Kempczinski's review.
Others wondered if he actually got a full bite of the burger. "That was the smallest first bite Iāve ever seen," another replied on the post.

On the other hand, singer and actress Christina Millian called the burger a "guilty pleasure."

The Big Arch burger is expected to hit restaurants in the United States this week.
McDonald's is advertising the item as its "biggest and boldest burger, yet" featuring lettuce and pickles along with crispy onions and Big Arch Sauce, as mentioned by Kempczinski in his tasting video. The Big Arch Sauce is described as "a tangy, creamy sauce with a perfect balance of mustard, pickle and sweet tomato flavors," on McDonald's online Menu Spotter page.
