Goku works the field in Dragon Ball Super: Beerus Episode 1 with Goten at his side. After finishing his lunch, he gives his tractor to Goten and transforms into Super Saiyan. He remembers how he defeated Frieza and Cell. The opening of the show shows the old Dragon Ball logo before introducing the new one.

Beerus catches the energy and wakes up. On Earth, Goku grabs Goten just before the tractor falls off the cliff. Goten asks Goku why he bears responsibility for getting stronger, and Goku responds that he defeated Majin Buu before, and he got stronger so he wouldn't be defeated again.

Beerus eats his way through planets in Dragon Ball Super: Beerus Episode 1

Beerus leaves devastation behind him wherever he goes. In Dragon Ball Super: Beerus Episode 1, a pig king throws a dinner for Beerus, accompanied by Whis. Beerus finds the food to be overly greasy, and he wipes out half the world with just one fingertip.

Elder Kai detects the unsettling events and says Beerus has awakened after staying dormant for 39 years. The outcome of the events in the episode is somewhat funny. Whis asks if Beerus liked the food, and Beerus says that the dish contained too much oil. At the same time, King Kai is repairing his ruined house by hand.

Beerus reaches Mogina, where Chief Moginan has just defeated a sizeable blue dinosaur. Whis appreciates this meat, and the chief transforms into fighting mode. He has only three minutes to do his job, and Beerus arrives with only 2 minutes 20 seconds left. The fight in Dragon Ball Super: Beerus Episode 1 is very short. Beerus blocks all his attacks with only one finger, breaks his horn, and sends his work back to him.

Then Beerus loses interest in meat and kills Mogina with a blast. This blast helps him remember a figure from his dream and a powerful warrior he has never seen before. Then he remembers these words: Super Saiyan God, but he cannot be sure. Whis proposes going to the castle for dinner.
