Barry Manilow will perform again “somewhere down the road.”
The “Mandy” singer, 83, canceled his Las Vegas show at the International Theater at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 10, his representative confirmed to Variety and the Daily Mail.
A day earlier on Friday, Oct. 9, the “Copacabana” singer reportedly played two songs before walking off stage, according to Variety, which cited Vital Vegas. The outlet reported that his band continued to play even though he left the stage until an announcement was made that the show ended.

“After a triumphant welcome-back concert on Thursday, Barry got hit with bronchitis and had to cancel his Friday and Saturday shows,” representatives for the musician and the resort told Variety.
PEOPLE has reached out to Manilow’s representative for comment.
After the Friday show ended, attendees shared on social media that they received emails after the concert from Ticketmaster that notified them they would get a refund, according to Variety.
Manilow’s concert on Thursday, Oct. 8, marked his first return to the stage since his Aug. 22 performance at the International Theater at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino. He previously shared on social media that he would “take a quick break” from touring.
“We just finished a fantastic summer tour,” the “I Write Songs” musician continued. “29 shows in 68 days. The shows were fantastic. The audiences were fantastic. And I sounded fantastic. But it seems that we were pushing a little too hard.”

“Now we all need to sit down and shut up,” said Manilow. “So, we’re going to take a break until we return to the Westgate Las Vegas on October 8th. When I’ll be singing like a bird. I hope to see you then.”
He previously announced in December 2025 that he was diagnosed with stage 1 lung cancer a month earlier and had a lobectomy procedure to remove an entire lobe of a lung to allow the remaining healthy tissue to expand and function.

“As many of you know I recently went through six weeks of bronchitis followed by a relapse of another five weeks,” he said at the time. “Even though I was over the bronchitis and back on stage at the Westgate Las Vegas, my wonderful doctor ordered an MRI to make sure that everything was OK.”
“The MRI discovered a cancerous spot on my left lung that needs to be removed. It’s pure luck (and a great doctor) that it was found so early. That’s the good news,” he added.

Manilow, who released his 33rd studio album, What a Time, on June 5, shared more details about his cancer treatment journey and how it changed his relationship with music in his PEOPLE cover story in March.
“You just don’t even think about [how fragile life is],” Manilow said of his stage 1 lung cancer diagnosis. “And suddenly, you have lung cancer. But I’m still here. I’m not all here; there’s part of me that isn’t here — they took out a part of me, and now I’ve got to figure out, ‘What do I do?’ ”
