An AMC series that lasted just one season is now climbing streaming charts months after its cancellation. The supernatural thriller based on Anne Rice’s novels recently broke into Netflix’s Top 10 in the United States.
Talamasca: The Secret Order is doing well on Netflix
Talamasca: The Secret Order currently sits at number four on the Netflix Top 10 TV Shows chart in the United States. Specifically, the show entered the list on August 25, 2026, according to FlixPatrol data. So far, the AMC series has spent two days on the chart since its appearance.
The supernatural horror spy thriller follows Guy Anatole, a telepath recruited by the Talamasca. Essentially, this secret society monitors immortal beings like vampires, demons, witches, and ghosts. Nicholas Denton leads the cast alongside Celine Buckens, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, William Fichtner, and Elizabeth McGovern. Meanwhile, John Lee Hancock created the six-episode series based on Anne Rice’s novels.
The show premiered on AMC on October 19, 2025, and concluded on November 23, 2025. Subsequently, AMC canceled the series after one season on March 27, 2026. Despite cancellation, the show continues finding new audiences on streaming platforms. Currently, it ranks behind Outer Banks, Blood Sacrifice, and the new entry Raw on Netflix’s chart.

Additionally, Talamasca holds a 61% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes based on 23 critic reviews. Metacritic gave the series a weighted average score of 63 out of 100 from 15 critics. Furthermore, the Saturn Awards nominated the show for Best Horror Television Series in 2026. William Fichtner also earned a nomination for Best Supporting Actor in a Television Series.
Notably, the series connects to AMC’s broader Immortal Universe, which launched with Interview with the Vampire in 2022. Eric Bogosian and Justin Kirk reprised their roles from that series as guest stars. Similarly, Sam Reid also contributed a voice cameo as Lestat de Lioncourt during the fifth episode. Principal photography took place in Manchester, England, beginning in fall 2024. The show’s Netflix resurgence follows a pattern of canceled series gaining traction on rival platforms.
